WWD has rounded-up 2008's most fashionable parties and they include both of Gucci’s Unicef benefit fundraisers one of which was co-hosted by Madonna and raised $5.5 million. Guests to that event included Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Demi Moore, and Jennifer Lopez.

A few months later, some of those stars and plenty more stylish celebs including Beyoncé Knowles and Victoria Beckham, along with a large chunk of the industry’s top designers showed-up for the Oscar’s of Fashion at this year’s superhero-inspired Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala. The event was hosted by Giorgio Armani, Julia Roberts, and George Clooney.

Other events nabbing honors were the spring opening of the Metropolitan Opera where guest included Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Diane Kruger, as well as the opening of Juicy Couture’s Fifth Avenue flagship, despite the fact that many of the guests, which included another Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, reported not caring all that much for the brand.

The list was rounded off by Domenico Dolce’s 50th birthday, Calvin Klein’s 40th anniversary, and the New Yorkers for Children benefit where Patti LaBelle performed.

No Cattt, thats not Jen in the gold dress, she is only in the 3rd pic. She is posing in front of the carriage.

Carla, your right. It did seem like she was a lot of places over the summer and towards the end of the year. She did a lot after having the twins : )
