The “Get Right” star is set to take a break from her 10-year music career to get some “professional distance” from Marc Anthony, the Latin singer she married in 2004.
A source told MSNBC: “Jennifer hasn’t been able to be considered a real recording success since she’s been with Marc. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t go back and be Jenny from the Block.”
“Those days have passed, and it’s not what Jennifer or Marc want. Having another film success or being behind a really great show will be better for both their careers.”
The 39-year-old singer – who has one-year-old twins Max and Emme with Marc - has reportedly signed on to produce Fox TV series “Rebel,” a remake of an Argentine telenovela about “a pop band made up of teens who go to an elite private high school.”
She is also set to be a producer on new film “Plan B,” which will be directed by Alan Poul. It will begin shooting in May and is due for release in January next year.
Both projects are associated with Nuyorican Productions, the company Jennifer founded with Benny Medina, the manager she recently reunited with.

Hmm, that's interesting, but it doesn't seem right cuz based on stuff I read, and it seems true, Jen is recording music right now --- thank the good Lord! -- Cattt
Yeah we know for sure she is working on music. But I guess she will add producing more shows and projects to her long list of multitasking :)
OMG professional distance! Maybe marc has to take a break from HIS music "career", he's the one ruining her career so why should she take that professional discance?
I don't believe it though; i think people get confused because she can do so many things at the same time :)
I hear you Jasmine. I agree with everything you said.
