In the film Jennifer plays a journalist investigating a series of murders near American-owned factories on the border of Juarez and El Paso. The film was written and directed by Gregory Nava, who also directed Jennifer in her break through film, Selena. Jennifer and her production team Nuyorican Productions produced the film as well. It stars; Maya Zapata, Jennifer Lopez, Martin Sheen, Sonia Braga, and Antonio Banderas.
