How JLo lost ALL her pregnancy weight


Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez gained 50 pounds when she was pregnant with twins, who she gave birth to back in February this year.

But unlike most celebs, who take drastic measures to drop the baby weight, she took the slow and steady course towards regaining her figure. JLo's famous curves are back and she's looking as fab as ever!. Here are her slimming secrets so you can look like a yummy mummy too!

The diet


So what kind of dietary regimen has Jennifer been following to get back in shape? Take a look:

  • Four separate mini-meals are consumed each day, comprising a total of 1400 calories -- very healthy indeed, by any standards.


  • So what do these mini-meals comprise of? Fresh fruit, raw vegetables, protein and plenty of water consumption. Egg-white omelettes, Greek yogurt for snacks and plenty of lean white meats like tuna, chicken or fish also play a role.


  • In her bid to slim down to 120 pounds, JLo has cut all red meat out of her diet. She also avoids alcohol, doesn't smoke and turns in early most nights.

  • The work-outs

    And here's a sneak peek at JLo's exercise regime:

  • She works out for 45 to 75 minutes four times a week, under the supervision of her personal trainer Gunnar Peterson.


  • She started off with light cardio and some body-weight exercises six weeks after giving birth. Her routine consisted of 20-30 minute walks with varying sets of push-ups and lunges.


  • In a bid to participate in a Malibu triathlon (that she completed, managing in the bargain to raise $127,000 for charity) this September, JLo trained for biking, swimming and running. Now that's dedication to physical fitness for sure!

  • Caption: Jennifer was more focused on fitness and wellbeing than getting in shape after her pregnancy. Her gradual, healthy weightloss was documented in photographs. This one, taken four months after giving birth, shows that she was still very much in the process of losing weight instead of crash-dieting.

    So what are the advantages and disadvantages of Jennifer Lopez's post-pregnancy diet and fitness regimen?

  • On the plus side, it's not a fad diet -- she has lost all her weight slowly, taking care of what she eats and working out. Also, 1,400 calories is a very healthy intake.


  • On the downside, she blew $50,000 on her new customised home gym and has a personal trainer, chef, nutritionist et al -- not something all of us can afford!
